For 12 years (1999-2011) I ran my own small design and development business in downtown Manhattan. It gave me the opportunity to unite a talented network of designers, site developers and multidisciplinary creatives to craft projects for both traditional and online media. In short, I built teams for project as they came through the door, which made my company, Hover Media, nimble and responsive. I developed a diverse clientele: advertising, publishing, entertainment, commerce, consulting, pharma, finance and a wide range of small business. We did it all including identity development, interactive design & development, illustration and print.
People always ask, “Who’d you do business with?” My clients included Audible, BMG, Commit Media, Dun & Bradstreet, Environmental Defense, Freelancers Union, Gruner & Jahr, GTC Bio-theraputics, Indaba Music, Katzenbach Partners (Fannie Mae, Pfizer, Marshall Goldsmith), The Knot, Lifetime, Oxygen, Pragma Financial and Tank Industries. I also took pains to get certified as a Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) by the NYC Dept. of Small Business Services and the Empire State Development Group.
Responsibilities: The whole enchilada — Creative Direction, Project Management, Business Development
